Recipe: Creamy Vegan Mulled Wine
A Mulled Wine recipe with a deliciously modern & plant-based twist. I've always been a fan of warm, mulling spiced winter beverages. There's something magical about the combination of clove, cinnamon and citrus that just warms the heart and brightens the soul. This wintertime warming cocktail offers fragrant spices and tart wine & citrus notes balanced with the cozy creaminess of pressed almond milk. Enjoy! - Jake
- 1 bottle (12oz.) of our Mulling Spiced Orange Almond Milk Elixir. Available at our retail partners here.
- 2 cups of apple cider
- 2 cups of a good dry red wine, e.g. Cabernet Sauvignon
- Citrus slices, cinnamon sticks, star anise for garnish (optional)
Combine all ingredients in a saucepan or small stockpot. Gently stir over a low heat just until the mixture begins to steam or at the moment before boiling point (be sure not to let it boil to maintain full flavor & texture)! Ladle into cups and garnish with citrus slices, cinnamon sticks or star anise. Inhale, sip and savor.
